Advantage staffing
is a "niche oriented" placement firm for professional, administrative,
office, accounting, managerial, sales, engineering, and technical
personnel. Our focus is to place qualified applicants into particular
full-time "direct hire" or "temp-to-hire" positions. Unlike standard
"Temp Agencies", our focus is not simply temps! We do staff some temp
assignments, but most of our clients want qualified full-time workers
to fill career oriented positions. These jobs are filled by either the
"direct" or "temp-to-hire" methods. There is never a fee to applicants
or employees. To satisfy both our clients' and applicants' needs, we
strive to differentiate between long-term career jobs and "temp
assignments". Let's face it, despite what the newspapers print, many
workers do not want to work temp jobs forever. In all probability,
neither do you! The key in this business is to know the difference, and
to treat your applicants accordingly. And we do!
"Temp Bench"
Program
First of all, if
we know that our client's job is temp, we will tell you it's temp.
Simple as that! But don't automatically refuse a temp assignment if it
qualifies under Advantage's "Temp Bench" Program. Under this program,
we have certain clients who will agree to let "perm job hunters" work
special hours so that they can still go on interviews.

For example, one
of our clients lets such job hunters work until 4:00 p.m. each day so
that they can go on interviews. In return, the worker agrees to provide
a reasonable resignation notice before going to their new-found career
job. This has proven to be a "win-win" program for our clients and
employees. Ask us for details.
Interviews &
Testing
This is another
area where we are different from the so called "temp agencies". Since
1995, applicants have been telling us that they dislike having agencies
give them 2 hours worth of tests when they don't even have a job for
them. We don't waste time giving a "battery of tests" to an applicant
for whom we have no job. Instead, we administer "job specific" tests to
each candidate who has the basic qualifications for, and who is
interested in a particular job! Our employees and applicants have often
commented that we really save them time in this area.
Since most of our clients are looking for "direct hire" or
"temp-to-hire" candidates, the interview process is important, but
again different than in the so called "temp agencies". We tend to
conduct "focus interviews" for particular jobs. We explore your
qualifications and experience to determine if you are qualified for
each particular job. Our clients will also usually conduct in depth
interviews, so be prepared.

Advantage can't
plan your career for you. Nor can we train you. We can, however,
provide guidance that rivals any of the so called "industry leaders".
We've helped many applicants get their careers on track by choosing the
right employment opportunity and training programs. Remember though,
